Booking Policies

A reservation may only be confirmed once a 50% deposit is paid directly to the Hotel Orquidea by credit card. Payment via bank transfer is also accepted however users need to contact the Hotel Orquidea prior to doing so.

If paying via bank transfer, the reservation will only be confirmed upon receipt of deposit in our account.

The deposit is non refundable and under no circumstances will refunds be considered.

On occasion when running special offers a non refundable payment of 100% of total booking value is payable to confirm the special offer.

Should any irregularities occur during the payment process, the Hotel Orquidea will contact you to make alternative arrangements. During this time we will hold your reservation for a period of 24 hours.

We appreciate that making online reservation involves a great deal of trust on your part. We take this trust very seriously, and make it our highest priority to ensure the security and confidentiality of the personally identifiable information ("PII") you provide us. PII includes name, address, phone number, or email address.

What happens next

After booking your room on the Hotel Orquidea website, you will receive an email confirming your reservation and no further action is required on your part.

Upon cancellation of reservation no refunds will be considered and cancellation fees may apply if cancellations are not made 48hours prior to date of arrival.

During peak and high peak season a 50% cancellation fee will apply if cancelled later than 14days prior to date of arrival.

Null and Void - A proposed reservation shall be null and void in the following circumstances:

If your credit card has passed its expiry date.

If there are insufficient funds available on the credit card to complete the reservation.

If the credit card details are incorrect and have been declined

Booking directly with us entitles guests to the lowest available rate guaranteed. Due to various policies we are unable to issues guest the same rate as published on our website when booking via 3rd parties.

1) How do I make a reservation ? - A reservation can be made in 3 simple steps:

Step 1 - Search for your arrival & departure dates. Thereafter all available rooms within your selected date range should be displayed.

Step 2 - Browse through the list of available rooms and select the room/s you wish to book using the drop down arrow next to the room type. Thereafter click the "Book Now" button. You will then be directed to a booking form where you are required to fill in all your details.

Step 3 - Confirm Reservation - Once you have done this click the "Confirm Reservation" button and your reservation will be confirmed immediately. No further action is required on your behalf. Shortly afterwards you will receive a confirmation email at the address provided on the booking form. This confirmation needs to be presented to the hotel upon check in.

2) Is my reservation confirmed immediately? - Yes, once confirmed on the Hotel Orquidea website no further action is required on your behalf.

3) What happens after I've made my reservation? - After confirming your reservation you will receive a confirmation email at the address you provided on the booking form. This confirmation will include all the details of your reservation e.g. arrival/departure dates, number of people, room details etc. This confirmation needs to be presented to the Hotel Orquidea upon check in.

4) How can I make special requests e.g. baby's cots, extra beds, specific room facilities etc? - You can make all requests on the booking form. There is a specific field called "Special Request" where you should do this.

5) Can I make a reservation by phone? - Yes, feel free to call us on +351 291 200 120 and we will gladly assist.

6) Are my details secured? - When booking a room on the Hotel Orquidea website, we may need to collect information about you to process the reservation. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

7) Where do I find directions to the hotel? - Google maps for the Hotel Orquidea is available on our website. Directions to the hotel are available on your Locations page. Should you require more detailed directions, please contact us and we will arrange this for you.

8) Can I cancel / amend my reservation? - Yes you may cancel your reservation. Cancellation fees may be applicable if your cancellation goes against our cancellation policy. We urge you to read our cancellation policy in the booking policies section above prior to making a reservation.

9) I have special needs e.g. wheelchair access, extra bed, cot, shower etc. can you arrange this? - Depending on the requirements, we can arrange this. Please stipulate your special needs in the "Special Requirements" field on the booking form.

10) Are there any extra costs involved for any special requests? - Additional costs may apply depending on your request. It's best to send us the request and we'll find out for you. Rest assured if additional costs do apply we will contact you first.



When do I pay? – No Payment is charged via our website. Your credit card details are used to guarantee the reservation

How much will I be charged ? - The amount that will be charged to your credit card is displayed on the booking form, before making your reservation. All reservations require a non refundable deposit of total booking fee. The Hotel Orquidea will contact by phone you prior to charging this value.

Can I cancel my reservation? - In case of cancellation no fees will be charged unless the reservation is cancelled later than 48 hours prior to the arrival date. If cancelling 48 hours prior to the arrival date, 50% of total booking value will be charged.

How do I pay? - We only accept credit card payments via our website and over the phone.

What credit card can I use? - We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners and Maestro cards.

I do not have a credit card can I still make a reservation? - Yes you can still make a reservation. Payment can be made via bank transfer however you will need to contact us by phone to do so. The same payment conditions stipulated above will apply.
